by Fred Bolder
To make the most of this book, it's important to have a basic knowledge of playing the tin whistle. Some basics are included to get you started. The book is written for tin whistle players and other musicians who want to explore Greek music. It contains 26 famous music pieces, including folk, traditional and more. Sometimes there are 2 versions available. If one version is too difficult, try the other. The music is presented in both modern staff notation and easy-to-read tin whistle tabs. There are chord symbols included for those who want to play along with other musicians. All music is written in the key of D major, so for a D tin whistle. Half-fingering is very rarely needed. If you only read the tabs, you can use a tin whistle in a different key as well, but it will sound higher or lower. This book is also very suitable for recorder players, but the tabs can not be used for a recorder.
